Flat Bed Lasers

 Laser Cutting 4,000W HyperGear:

houston mazak laserFeatures: Dual shuttle tables, automated nozzle, and torch change. Focus adjustments for more efficient cutting and flexibility to cut different material types and thicknesses per shift.+/-.004” accuracy. Nesting software for maximum sheet yield.

5’ X 10’ table size

¼” max on Aluminum

3/8” max on Stainless

3/4” max on steel

Holes – General Rule: hole diameter can’t be smaller than material thickness – thicker pieces can go a little smaller
– .007 kerf on all lasers Tolerance = +/- .004 (dependant on material thickness)

Laser Cutting 4,400W Bystronic:

houston-bystronic-laser

Features: Dual shuttle tables – Edge detection for location of material to ensure proper layout of cutting files. 400 additional watts help with heavier thicknesses and automated nesting software ensures optimal material usage.+/-.004” accuracy. Nesting software for maximum sheet yield.

 5’ X 10’ table size

3/8” max on Aluminum (edge quality poor at 3/8”  => 5/16” max for good edge quality).

1/2” max on Stainless

1” max on steel (edge quality poor at 1”  => 3/4” max for good edge quality).

Holes – General Rule: hole diameter can’t be smaller than material thickness – thicker pieces can go a little smaller
– .007 kerf on all lasers Tolerance = +/- .004 (dependant on material thickness)

 3D Tube Lasers

 Adige LT8 Lasertube Cutting System

houston blm tube laser

High production tube cutting. 70’ long footprint. Capable of loading entire bundles of tubing up to 70’ long.

Maximum Round OD Size: 8 7/8” Diameter Maximum Square Size: 6 5/8” X 6 5/8” Maximum Wall Thickness: 5/8” Maximum Raw Material Length: 27’ Maximum Automated Unload Processed Length: 21.6’ Materials Able To Be Processed: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel Profiles Able To Be Processed: Round, Square, & Rectangular Tubing. Extrusion Shapes, Angle Iron, C Channel, Beams, Flats.

Mazak SpaceGear-U44 3D Tube Laser:

houston mazak tube laser

Resonator: 2500W Bed Size: 4’ x 4’ (able to cut flat sheets as well) X-axis Stroke: 16.5” Max. cutting thickness: 3/8” mild steel Features: Multi-process! 2D/3D pipe, tube and structural steel. The U-44 can make quick work of panels, sheet metal and shaped parts by cutting precise profiles and beveling, all in one operation.

6” OD round pipe and 4 ½” X 4 ½” on square. Clamping fixtures could be engineered for larger shapes; however, this would be at production run quantities and customer paying for the fixture.

Max wall thickness is 3/8” on simple parts and ¼” on compound cuts (at angles to tube wall).
Max cutting length at one time is about 42” to 44”. We can do longer pieces with multiple cut files.  Only problem with that is the tolerances open up once we start re-chucking the tube.  Somewhere around +/- 1/32”
.007 kerf on all lasers Tolerance = +/- .004 (dependant on material thickness)

Waterjet Cutting

 6’ X 12’ table size

6” thickness max cutting any material (except tempered glass)

60,000 PSI

Capable of cutting all metals, glass, stone, rubber, wood, plastic, & foam

.030 Kerf on waterjet Tolerance = +/- .005 to .010 (dependant on material thickness)

 Press Brake

 Accurpress Accell:

houston accell press brake

Precision CNC Metal Bending Back gauges and Wila clamping make quick work out of large, multi-part jobs RAM position is monitored every two milliseconds to achieve accuracy of +/ -.004” High speed forming for thin and thicker gauge materials

  • Dual Back Gauges allow for multiple tool sets on clamp
  • Wila clamping increases efficiency 5 to 10 fold
  • Fastest tool changeover.
  • Automatic clamping, seating and aligning.

12’ long ram – 250 tons

½” plate on shorter pieces

Up to 10’ long – ¼” thick is the max for tonnage, anything thicker will have to be narrower, and anything thinner could go full 12’

17” open width

42” depth max.

 Plate Rolling:

6’ length

Max thickness at 6’ is 3/16” thick; anything thicker will have to be shorter.
