Fabricators Need Baker Hughes ISO Training

ISO

Metal Fabricators interested in the latest ISO requirements might want to attend this lunch and learn next week (Nov 10th 11:30 to 1:00).

It’s through the Greater Houston Manufactures Association where we are doing quarterly lunch and learns on various manufacturing topics. There is networking before the presentation.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT ARE REQUIRED – Baker Hughes will be presenting information pertaining to training competency as required by ISO 9001-2015 at their 9100 Emmott Road location.

Our Trucks Roll All Over Texas Delivering Metal Fabrication JIT

We like to be in control.  That’s why our metal fabrication partners handle everything in house.  Fabrication, Paint, Machining, and Delivery. We have regular truck routes, on our own fleet between Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and West Texas. Much of our work involves sub-assemblies and overflow work, so timing is critical for our customers.

The Natural Gas Boom is Driving More Big Fabrication & Skid Packages

Our Mid South Fabrication partner continues to add heavier equipment as our sub assemblies and skids continue to grow in scale with increased demand from natural gas customers.  We recently added a another 10 ton crane to work in tandem flipping large gas compression plant skid bases filled with concrete! Large Lathe added to our machining division, enables us to machine to tolerance “after” fabrication of large assemblies. Fracking continues to drive our frack tank panel business.

Join Our Manufacturing Association to be Included in these Special Events

If you’re a manufacturer in Houston and not a member of our Greater Houston Manufacturing Association – Well, you’re missing out on all the fun and network among Houston’s best manufacturers.

Our most recent event was a dinner party aboard the Sam Houston with a tour of the Port of Houston. The Port of Houston Authority provided outstanding food and our guest speaker Ty Reasonover (Trade Development Manager – Port of Houston Authority) gave an informative talk on this great asset for our city.

Big Fabrication Requires Big Machining

We’re not control freaks – but darn close.  We didn’t like depending on machine shops to delay our fabrication projects in the final hour.  So we bought a machine shop, then we bought another one.  Now we’re capable of some of the heaviest machining in Texas!

Oh yeah – we can coat it and deliver it… all in-house.  Maybe we are control freaks….

Here is just one example of our recent investment in Big Machining:

Long Bed Lathe Machining

Doosan Puma 480L Long Bed CNC Lathe

35.5” swing

82.5” travel

25.5” hyd. 4-jaw chuck

60 H.P. &  3,000 ft.lbs. of torque – LOOK OUT!

Fanuc controls

This is in addition to our full service machine shop that exists to support our heavy fabrication facility.

Here is another example of our Heavy Machining:
