We’re Growing.  Our new high volume, large format tube laser is the largest in Texas.  See our New Tube Laser Page for more details.

Fabrication Projects Happening Right Now at Our RiverCity Partner

It’s always a great time to be in Texas!  We are thankful our fabrication partners are doing so well.  Here are some projects going on at RiverCity Industries:

New 10,000 square foot building to house our High production – Large Format Tube Laser – Up to 8″ tubing at 5/8″ wall thickness and 27′ lengths!

Also, some pictures of wellhead fabrication devices for a new customer.

Machining & Fabrication Turnkey

Our diversified manufacturing capabilities allow us to fabricate, weld, and machine parts turnkey – and all in-house – Yes, we are control freaks…

These manifolds are a good example of a finished product that needs both fabrication / welding and then machining to tolerance on on large format mills and lathes.

Custom Genset Enclosures

Utilizing our lasers, code welders, industrial paint booths, and our diesel engine division – we can fabricate and assemble / install any Genset enclosure – all in house.  Yeah – we’re control freaks – we even deliver on our in-house fleet of trucks.

See our Mid South Fabrication partner for more details.

Join Our Manufacturing Association to be Included in these Special Events

If you’re a manufacturer in Houston and not a member of our Greater Houston Manufacturing Association – Well, you’re missing out on all the fun and network among Houston’s best manufacturers.

Our most recent event was a dinner party aboard the Sam Houston with a tour of the Port of Houston. The Port of Houston Authority provided outstanding food and our guest speaker Ty Reasonover (Trade Development Manager – Port of Houston Authority) gave an informative talk on this great asset for our city.

More Fabrication – 100,000 More Wells to Drill in Eagle Ford!

drilling rig metal fabrication

We Cut the Handrail Brackets For This Rig on Our Tube Lasers

“The CEO of Drillinginfo, Allen Gilmer, posted a great blog about the Eagle Ford Shale recently. He noted production in the play won’t reach a maximum rate of production until 2022. He also noted production won’t flatten out until around 2028-2029. This means there are as many as 100,000 wells left to drill in the play. So there will be plenty of fabrication work in Texas for years to come.”

It’s Almost Here – Large Tube Laser

Our new ADIGE LT-8 Laser cutting large, heavy wall metal tubes. 3D angles for better welding fit up, coping, chamfers, slot and tab fixturing.  Large and thick wall tubes to be welded or for joints or couplings requiring precision. Making special, open, concave and asymmetric sections in round tubing, square tubing and structural tubing.

LT-8 Specs

Steel 5/8″ wall thickness
Aluminum 1/4″ thick
Stainless Steel 3/8″ thick

Large Format Tube Laser, Cuts Through 5/8″ wall thickness on 8″ diameter round tube & 6″ square tubing.

The large magazine holds up to 20 foot lengths at high production quantities of tube and pipe.

Big Fabrication Requires Big Machining

We’re not control freaks – but darn close.  We didn’t like depending on machine shops to delay our fabrication projects in the final hour.  So we bought a machine shop, then we bought another one.  Now we’re capable of some of the heaviest machining in Texas!

Oh yeah – we can coat it and deliver it… all in-house.  Maybe we are control freaks….

Here is just one example of our recent investment in Big Machining:

Long Bed Lathe Machining

Doosan Puma 480L Long Bed CNC Lathe

35.5” swing

82.5” travel

25.5” hyd. 4-jaw chuck

60 H.P. &  3,000 ft.lbs. of torque – LOOK OUT!

Fanuc controls

This is in addition to our full service machine shop that exists to support our heavy fabrication facility.

Here is another example of our Heavy Machining:
